Location, Props and Costume
Location/props/costume
The location for my shoot will be mainly in a photography
studio. This is because it has the best lighting for portrait photographs and
the lights allow the detail from the facial expressions to be captured. I have
also decided to use the studio because graphs however I want to. Another location
for a few of my images will be Norwich. This is because Norwich is a built up
city and has some great graffiti and urban scenes. I plan on using these images
for possible album covers to go on my contents page. The urban scene appeals to
my target audience because my target audience is indie, the urban scene also
appeals to my target audience because it is natural and not an artificial
setting which allows them to be real, unique and indie. The props for my shoot
are going to be minimalistic because the main focus is going to be on the
models in the pictures. I am going to use fairy lights in some of my pictures
because it creates an alternative fashion and makes my pictures unique and
different. The fairy lights also create a high fashion like shoot which could
be realistic of a photo shoot that a real celebrity may do. One costume that I am
going to use for my female model is a green bomber jacket, this is because it foreshadows
the fashion that my indie target audience would wear. I want her make-up to be
bright and bold in some of the pictures because it creates the overall look of
a pop star in a music video/ photo shoot. For the male model, I want him to
represent a smart casual fashion for males, because I do not want the fashion
element of my magazine to be just about females. He will either wear a shirt or
a simple jumper with black skinny jeans. This will appeal to my target audience
because it is simplistic and yet sophisticated for every day. My target
audience will like this fashion because it is good for their everyday life at
college/ university.
